Цель модификации состоит в том, чтобы сделать использование магии разрушения более интересным с помощью участия в магических дуэлях.
Концепция поединка проста, вы должны атаковать противника-мага с помощью магии разрушения (применив заклинание, или воспользовавшись посохом) чтобы начать магический поединок.
Право участвовать в дуэли имеют все неигровые персонажи и существа владеющие магией, в том числе и драконы.
Во время поединка, вы должны показать бόльшие навыки ловкости и стойкости, чем ваш противник, чтобы выиграть дуэль.
На прохождение дуэли влияют многочисленные факторы, которые могут сыграть как в вашу пользу, так и в пользу вашего противника. Все эти факторы, а также горячие клавиши, используемые во время поединка можно настроить в книге «Магическая Дуэль» или через меню MCM (если у вас установлен SkyUI).
Как это работает:
Дуэль против NPC или существа:
Чтобы начать поединок, необходимо атаковать противника-мага с помощью магии разрушения.
Применимы следующие заклинания: Пламя, Искры, Обморожение а также Вампиризм.
После начала поединка, вы должны будете быстро переключаться между левой и правой кнопками мыши (хотя вы можете поменять их на другие клавиши), стараясь своим заклинанием оттолкнуть заклинание противника обратно к нему.
Во время ваших атак будет заполняться шкала овердрайва. Чем эффективней ваши действия, тем быстрее заполняется шкала, давая вам преимущество.
Во время дуэли будет расходоваться магия, и ваша и противника. Тот, у кого магия закончится раньше считается проигравшим и получает урон, пропорциональный достигнутому прогрессу в дуэли.
Полученный урон основан ещё и на силе победителя. Побеждённый будет отброшен назад в зависимости от этой силы.
После завершения дуэли вы можете просмотреть сцену с добивающим ударом, уникальным для каждой стихии.
Если неигровые персонажи в непосредственной близости не заняты борьбой с кем-либо еще, они могут прийти в качестве зрителей на поединок и поболеть за своего фаворита.
Шкала овердрайва: заменяет собой шкалу здоровья (красную). Овердрайв позволяет вам сделать ваш заклинание гораздо более мощным, за счет более быстрого расхода маны. После активации овердрайва, шкала маны будет быстро уменьшаться и у Вас будет лишь несколько мгновений, чтобы воспользоваться увеличением мощности.
Шкала маны: ваша шкала так и осталась шкалой маны по умолчанию (синяя), шкала магии противника представлена шкалой выносливости (зелёная). Обе шкалы показывают количество маны у вас и у противника.
Требования:
Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) версии 1.6.7 или выше необходим для работы мода.
SkyUI желателен для работы меню МСМ, но не обязателен.
Совместимость:
Эта модификация не изменяет ни одного заклинания, НПС, квеста или чего-нибудь ещё.
Целостность ванильной игры полностью сохранена. Работа мода не вызывает конфликтов с другими модификациями.
Если у вас возникают проблемы с запаздыванием анимации во время поединков, попробуйте снизить настройки графики.
Установка:
Стандартная. Скопировать папку Data из скачанного архива в папку с установленной игрой. Подключить в лаунчере.

Вопрос: Требуется установить Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE), как я могу это сделать?

-Adding an automatic debug system if a duel does not start or if one of the duelists is defeated at the launch of the duel.
-Compatibility with certain mod such as Alternative to Death.
-If the player loses a duel but is still alive, the battle will not resume until this one will be on his feets.
-In a duel with a dragon, if the player has no more magic, the duel stops and damages taken during the duel will be applied to the player and to the dragon.
Fixes:
-Fixed some abnormal behaviors between the two duelists.
-In a duel with a dragon, the player now goes automatically in combat state.
-When an enemy is defeated in a duel and marked as essential, he will not recover his life instantly.
-The scripts associated to the ashes piles of defeated enemies in duels will disappear from the save game after a certain period.

Magic Duel: Reborn is a total overhaul of its predecessor: Magic Duel.
Its goal is to make the use of destruction magic more interesting via the ability to engage in magic duels.
Having a mage character is not necessary, however it will add to your resistance and your strength during duels.
The concept is simple, you have to charge or cast a destruction spell while targeting an enemy to start a magic duel.
All NPCs and creatures are eligible for duels, including dragons.
Once the duel is started, you must show more agility and dexterity than your opponent to win the duel.
Numerous modifiable factors will come into play during the duel and can play to your advantage or disadvantage as well as your enemy’s.
All of these parameters as well as the hotkeys used during the duel are modifiable from the Magic Duel book or MCM menu (if you have SkyUI installed).
Duel against an NPC or creature :
To start a duel, you must charge or cast a destruction spell while targeting an enemy.
Four elements are compatible: fire, ice, Lightning and drain.
Once the duel is started, you’ll have to alternate between left and right clicking (though you may change the keys) to push the enemy’s spell back towards him with your own spell.
If you manage to alternate your attacks correctly, your overdrive* gauge will fill up faster giving you the edge.
During the duel, both duelist’s magicka bars* will be drained. If either one empties, the loser receives damage proportional to his progress in the duel.
Once one of the duelists is defeated, he will receive damage based on the strengths of the winner and will also be knocked back depending on that strength.
You may also find that a Finishing Move unique to each element unfolds.
If the NPCs in the immediate area aren’t busy fighting someone else, they may come spectate the duel and cheer on their preferred person.
Overdrive gauge: The overdrive gauge is represented by the health bar (red), it allows you to make your spell much more powerful at the cost of faster mana drain. Once you activate the overdrive, the bar drains quickly and you will only have a few moments to take advantage of your increase in power.
Magicka Bars: The player’s magicka bar is represented by the default magicka bar (blue), the enemy’s magicka bar is represented by the stamina bar (green). These bares accurately represent the state of your and your enemy’s magicka.
Duels versus dragons :
Unlike classic duels, dragon duels are triggered by shouting.
The way to start them is the same, you must shout at, and be shouted at, at the same moment (the interval between the two is, again, modifiable).
The three compatible type of shouts are: fire shouts, ice shouts, and Unrelenting Force.
At the start of the duel, you’ll have access to a protection spell (right hand) as well as a shout of the same type as the one you used when starting the duel.
To win the duel, you need to take down the dragon with your shout while he tries to do the same.
For your attacks to be more efficient, your shout must reach the dragon’s mouth at the moment he is about to attack.
Precision is thus more important than in the classic duels.
Do not forget that each shout is made up of 3 parts depending on which words you’ve learned.
Also keep in mind that a shout of an element opposite the one used by the dragon will do more damage.
You may also use Dragonrend to weaken your enemy before a duel.
If your shout is recharging, you may protect yourself using the protection spell at the cost of draining your mana.
The dragon’s health is represented by your stamina bar (green).
In addition to 8 epic combat themes, you have the option of adding up to 30 songs of your choice that will play out during duels.
To do so, a simple tool is downloadable on the mod’s optional files.

If you have «If the requirements are met» as option for «Finising Moves» then your overdrive gauge must be at least half full.

As you probably know, SKSE64 is not yet available for Skyrim Special Edition, well, Magic Duel: Reborn needs SKSE to function.
This Lite version is therefore an adaptation of the original Skyrim mod with some minor features disabled as well as some changes.
